Technological concept

Using sensors attached to a mannequin, we can understand different kinds of hugging based on the user’s arms position, strength and time. Around the place where the person and the mannequin are, video shall be projected and sounds shall be played according to each kind of hugging. These videos shall represent the sensations or feelings behind each hug.


 
The basic system to achieve this goal includes Force Sensing Resistors (FSR) attached to the mannequin, that delivers data to an Arduino board microcontroller [09]. This is connected to a computer, which receives data from the Arduino board and plays audio and video to a projector.
